Coding club

The ETSS Wicklow Coding Club is a hub of creativity and innovation, where students develop their programming skills and work on exciting real-world challenges. Meeting regularly, the club provides a space for students of all levels to explore coding, problem-solving, and computational thinking.

One of the club’s greatest achievements has been its successful completion of the Astro Pi Challenge on two occasions. This prestigious international competition, run by the European Space Agency and Raspberry Pi Foundation, allows students to write code that runs on the International Space Station (ISS). Our teams have worked on projects ranging from measuring deforestation levels in specific areas to calculating the speed of the ISS itself.

With a strong track record in coding competitions and a passion for technology, the club continues to inspire students to push the boundaries of what they can achieve through programming. New members are always welcome to join and take part in future exciting challenges!
